About Honoring Childhood

Honoring Childhood is the life's work of Samuel Broaden who has been working in the early education field for 20 years. In that time, Samuel has been a teacher for ages infant-school age, a Director of numerous child care programs, a quality coach, an author, a speaker, podcaster, and more! In all his work, he strives to help shift the idea of what childhood is and who children are-taking away the idea that children need to be controlled and bringing forth the idea that children are people with ideas, opinions, thoughts, emotions, and agency that deserves to be respected and cultivated.
